Day Twenty-Five Camino de Santiago

The Plot Thickens

Feels like 3-Days-In-One! Ever know that feeling?

From my creepy morning walk in darkness through cornfields alone, to an Achilles mishap, enjoying a new city and it’s beautiful sights, pilgrim cooking/dinner, and now just being invited to stomp grapes with my feet at harvest this month with friends in Spain… awesome!

Astorga is a charming city and I’ve loved my stay here, albeit hobbling around.

Tomorrow is all uphill and I will hike as long as the body feels good. Nice n slow.

Interesting Camino fact: there are indeed wolves in Spain, particularly in a mountainous forest area…that I just hiked through a week ago.

Wow. This was the one time on the Camino I felt extremely vulnerable and I walked alone in the dark for an hour with nobody else around. I felt eyes on me. Animal eyes.

Thankfully there are no reports of Pilgrim deaths due to wolf attacks.

Buen Camino!
