Day Three Camino Del Norte

Surfing Mud Puddles

This route sure has a lot of mud puddles! When I walked into town, the locals giggled at my mud-encrusted feet/legs.

It turned out to be a challenging 8+ hour day due to all the mountainous inclines and slippery downhills; I had an epic fall once after a big puddle jump.

The Basque People celebrated a holiday and the town square was packed with families who enjoyed food, drink, song and dance, plus some other interesting entertainment like wood-chopping contents and prize cow judging.

My lodging options were limited and I chose to stay in an albergue housed in an old convent.

Life is never dull on the Camino!

Some journeys are taken for adventure. Others… for meaning.

I’m embarking on a powerful expedition through Nepal and India—into the Himalayas, sacred spaces, and the early exploration of a humanitarian vision for children in need. This is a real-time journey of discovery, storytelling, and creation.

If you feel something stirring as you read this, you’re invited to follow along, receive updates, or become part of the journey as a patron. Enter the expedition here:
