Day Two Camino Portugues

Flip Flops By Day 2

Flip-flops, frozen peas and Compeed are the name of the game!

It was a short distance day of 13km and absolutely beautiful walk.

My bunkmate is Michael from Germany again! He’s in his 70s and says he’s too old to walk the Camino, but I think he’s doing great.

Strangely enough, I haven’t met many Pilgrims in 2 days.

The prices in Portugal are fantastic! I bought a bag of groceries for 5€: tomatoes, fruit, bread, jamon, 2 kinds of cheese and bottle of wine.

The Alburge donativo where I stay doesn’t use heat and it is very cold. It seems to be adding up to an early night with an audio book and cozy sleeping bag.

Bom Caminho!

8th Pilgrimage On The Camino de Santiago – Join me this April for a profound journey as I traverse the country of Spain again.  30 days of walking this ancient trail creates a powerful physiological and peaceful high state of existence. This grand adventure is what I describe as the “Hero’s Journey.” The Camino is a quest of transformation and I welcome the experience wholeheartedly.
