Adventures In Bali
Love For Mama Bali
Bali has a special energy about it, noticeable the moment you walk out of the airport and sniff the aromatic, offering-laden air.
Generally-speaking, I find the Balinese to be gentle people, which is ultimately whom I prefer to live amongst.
There are pockets of ‘gentle people’ regions throughout the world and I’ll continue my quest to seek them out, learn and appreciate their cultures.
During the five years I explored and lived in Bali, the 2 spots I called “home” were in the mountainous jungle region of Ubud, and the touristy beach scene of Seminyak. The blend of these extremes were agreeable to my preference in stimulating and differing environments.
From the vibrant Bukit and up the western coast to famous Tanah Lot, northeast to sunrise climb Mount Batur, a dormant volcano, further northwest to Lovina Beach with her lovely dolphins, and so many other regions in between, I’ve covered a great deal of territory on this 2,232 square mile island.
Less we not forget the many unforgettable adventures on the neighboring island of Lombok and its famous Gili islands, Gili Air still being my favorite.
There is much more of amazing Indonesia to discover, in fact I’ve only experienced 6 islands out of 17,508 so far.
