These women ranging in age from their 30s – 60s are the material movers for construction projects.
I see them all over Bali moving large piles of dry cement, soil, rocks and bricks; today it’s happening in front of where I live.
Wow! They’re amazing! My friends here in Ubud tell me these women carry up to 60 pounds on their heads and have extremely strong necks.
I tried carrying 15 pounds on my head hands-free and it was really difficult!
