Foodie Series Herbs

Easy-To-Grow Herbs!

Growing your own herbs to use in the kitchen or for medicinal purposes is a true blessing!

It is wise to encourage children to grow their own gardens and know the properties of herbs. My 4-year-old niece, Josie, understood the benefits of peppermint in our backyard garden. How adorable to observe her zeal to pick basil and mint and add it to her family’s water glasses.

Herbs, in addition to flavoring our meals, have so many health benefits as well.

As I upload this video, I’ve decided to plant more herbs today and will purchase seeds for thyme and oregano.

My indoor garden is growing 2 types of basil and parsley, and the outdoor garden yields a rotunda of wild chives, 3 plots of dill and several pots of basil and peppermint.

What herbs are you growing in your garden? What is your favorite herb used in cooking?

My intention for this video series was several-fold: inspire others to grow their own edible gardens, learn how to store their own food, provide recipe ideas for cooking & baking, and offer fascinating, educational information.

After creating 14 extremely unique and interesting videos, I am admittedly proud of my accomplishments. Thank you for taking this Farm-To-Table journey with me.
